Rob Smith - Head Coach

Philosophy of Fencing

Rob is a seasoned Coach, Fencer, Martial Artist and Teacher. It is from these experiences that his fencer centered approach to Fencing Pedagogy has grown. This results in a program that is tailored to the needs of the athlete. This is different from the “cookie cutter” approach often used in modern salles, where the fencer must adapt to the system being used as opposed to the system being adapted to the fencer's needs.
